California will be falling into the ocean soon, so the more fruits and nuts that move in the better.

I just hope that the Kalifornians who are moving out of that hell hole don't bring bad voting habits with them. Hopefully, the ones moving here to the Austin area (and there are lots of them moving in) are the ones who are not responsible for putting the current crop of bafoons in office.

Look for increased background checks by employers seeking to avoid the increased cost of doing business in CA. One fag on AIDS medication can bankrupt a small company's medical plan. It is about $350,000 per year. The economics of this law translate into increased discrimination, unless enacted at the federal level. The required pay cuts to those working at small companies will make them non competitive in global business.
Look for growth in cottage industries with less than the mandated number of employees.

Unfortunately, there are discrimination laws on the books that you can't ask an employeed certain questions regarding sexual orientation, medical conditions, etc......they already covered that!
I agree with cottage industries. I was talking to my insurance co. yesterday and the rep. said his unit was moving to Pheonix and other units may be going soon. They have to keep a small office in CA to do insurance in CA....I don't blame them for leaving. I would do the same.

"They took and still are taking them northward to WA and OR." Not all of us. We moved to Oregon last October. We didn't have bad voting habits to bring with us. We just had to get away from that place which happens to be my first home (I'm a native Californian) but is now just absolutely ruined.

I'm 3rd generation Native Californian with a good conservative voting record. I'm so disgusted with what they are doing to my state. If Bustamecha gets elected on Oct. 7, I'm going to have to leave....OR FIGHT....I'm really considering going into politics and try to bring some sanity to CA.

There are indeed questions that are illegal to ask an interviewee. It has had little impact on companies that hire based on the ability of an individual to fit into the organization culture. Descrimination has to be proved in most cases before a lawsuit has merit in most states. Sue happy CA may be an exception to this.
CA may be pricing themselves out of prosperity. Ask any of the millions that have voted with their feet.

I agree. We need to get them out NOW, before they destroy what little is left of California.
The Democrats are killing businesses in CA, and of course they are leaving in droves.

Didn't San Francisco pass this law some years ago? That meant the biggies like the airline companies, telecommunications, etc. had to provide domestic partner benefits. I think that's why they all changed their benefit packages back then.
