Liberal Talk Radio List (A True "Fairness Doctrine" Would May NPR Carry Rush)

Posted on 09/12/2003 7:25:33 PM PDT by Doctor Raoul

The whining liberals are really only out to silence Rush Limbaugh using "The Fairness Doctrine" as their stalking horse.

Well here's a list of liberal talk hosts, liberal radio stations, liberal syndicated programs and alike. Note there are nearly a hundred.

Liberals can't make it in the market place of ideas, so they have to silence those without they can not compete.

Good job ranking the reprehensible Johnny Wendell at the bottom of the list where he belongs. I remember the first time I listened to him, having no idea who he was, and being so appaled at what he said that I nearly screamed at my walkman in disgust. This guy spouts A.N.S.W.E.R.-style red commie rhetoric. I tried calling in, but couldn't get past his screener... should have tried to channel my idiot teenage years and pretended to be a liberal skunk.

This is the money paragraph in the Wall Street Journal editorial today:

Liberals, on the other hand, are almost transparent in their aim to do precisely that [to bring back the old days when the three networks were the main source of news.] During July's House floor debate, Michigan Democrat John Dingell explained that once they roll back the FCC ownership expansion liberals can then move to reverse another recent FCC decision to allow companies to own TV stations and newspapers in the same market. They may then go to town on New York Representative Maurice Hinchey's proposal to revive the Fairness Doctrine and complicate life for both Fox and Rush.

In other words, all that's involved in the bill that Lott and Hutchison support is rolling back the FCC's rule to expand ownership, and the Wall Street Journal is only speculating that passing this bill will help Hinchey's proposal to revive the Fairness Doctrine. In point of fact (at least as long as Republicans lead both Houses of Congress and have a man in the White House,) there is zero chance that a bill reviving the Fairness Doctrine will be enacted.

Thankfully, Richard Bey is no longer on WABC.
And shouldn't Bernie Ward count as two?

Forgot about Bey. He suffered from the same liberal traits that Lynn Samuels did and it caused his demise.

I emailed Phil Boyce about two weeks before Bey was let go with some specific things about Bey I asked him to watch out for that I felt turned off listeners.

Of course it was ratings, not my email that doomed that show. But I believe that the ratings reflected the things I stressed to Boyce.

I hope you have this post saved on your desktop. You're probably going to have to post in in 75 more threads until people even begin to realize the Fairness Doctrine is NOT getting resurrected.

36. Tom Joyner - The Morning Show

Tom Joyner did a live broadcast from Jacksonville during the recount and just about brought this city to a standstill.
Why?
Because every low level bureacrat sucking at the public teat- skipped work, parked illegally and made it to the show, which was held downtown during morning rush hour.

I had never heard of the man until then, but listened to about five minutes of his show. Don't let the wig fool you. He is Corrine Brown.

Skinner also appears with Stephan on his morning show.

And to think that this show was once circulated by Radio America!

Is Ellen Ratner still on the radio? (She of the nails-on-a-chalkboard voice.)

What about Leslie Marshall?

didn't Fred "Gopher" Gandy-[D] (sp?) replace both Press and some unconvincing conservitive woman (who seemed like she thought she was in the MP "argument clinic" sketch) alongside Andy Parks on the WMAL morning show?

I would also add:

1. didn't Jim Levy from the Wash Post funny pages get another shot at radio on some smaller DC area radio station? He used to be on before Rush on WMAL before/during the OJ trial era. I know my radio used to turn off between 10 and 11:45 in those days.

2. "R Edward" Lopez from the 98 Rock (WIYY Baltimore) morning show is a super lefty (and yet a gun nut).

The woman you're thinking of is Jane Norris.

And whatever happened to Victoria Jones?

We haven't even started on "urban" talk radio, like Joe Madison.

I'm still trying to figure out why Bill Handel is considered a liberal... listening to his program for as long as I have, he strikes me as decidedly conservative.
