newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter." -- Thomas Jefferson...
wrote was as stupid and totally off the mark as this one, dumb quote... I guess he figured you can't be taxed or thrown in jail by an editor!

It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt.--John Philpot Curran

((((Carlo)))) I won't lie...I didn't watch the debate. *BUT* everything you say rings crystal clear based on my environment here in the People's Socialist Republik of Atlanta.
The Democrats have figured out that the more they make us dependent, the more power they have to keep feeding the insatiable beast, more taxes from the hard workers, less payers to object. In the end game, everyone is a victim, and socialism, as it always has, will fail miserably, and so will we all.
This has been my *life* since moving here nearly 5 years ago. You must be fortunate enough to live in a fairly conservative area because all of this sounds like it is a revelation to you. People I interact with at work (save for a handful), out in public, etc. all *live* the demonRATic way of life. It is like a disease that has gutted their brains. They walk mindlessly through life expecting and anticipating that this is what life is all about.
You are so right - activism is where it's at. And, a little bit of "conservative radicalism" doesn't hurt. We saw that here in Atlanta last March during the pro-America rallies.
We ***SHALL*** overcome!

The debate was held at Morgan State which is an all black college and I suspect the audience was the same. The candidates pandered to this important democrat voting block. If these guys go in front of the KKK next week, they will pander to them as well.
The thinking of american blacks is one of hatred toward america, that they are at the bottom of the heap and they deserve and are owed more. Frankly, they are at the bottom, they do deserve more, but they don't understand that the only way they will get more is to be like the rest of us. That is work hard, try to learn more everyday, obey the law, don't abuse drugs, and if you want kids, get and stay married.
Anyway, your despondence over the audience is undeserved. They were black, a sub nation separate and apart from the way the rest of us think. Most of america is not like the audience that you saw and heard.

When the Dems finally ger a candidate they will have to moderate or lose 49 states. Raw meat soundbites at a very Liberal college will not cut it.

I tried to watch the 9 dwarves debate but when it was not a debate but a contest of who could bash Bush the hardest, I turned it off. You are one tough fella to watch that whole thing with out having your head explode. My husband watched & he was constantly screaming f--- you! I don't need that kind of stress.

This division, this gap you've witnessed, helps form the basis of a bloody war in the future.
The seed from which it germinated was created when political correctness deemed it rude to discuss religion or politics in public.

There's no way the red states are going to let Hillary take over this country It wasn't Hillary taking over the country that scared me the other night when I was watching the debate. It was the fear of the UN taking over the country, and having the "new" President allow and encourage it that scared me.
I admit that I am highly partisan, but I asked my son if people in the US didn't understand that each and every candidate (Lieberman to a lesser extent) up there was endorsing the UN to make our countries foreign policies.

By the sound of the early volleys, it's going to be the Mother of all Horror Flicks!!I already can't stand it. Without panicing, I'm genuinely afraid for the nation at this point. The DemonCraps only want to divide us. And divided we CAN fall. I was just thinking this morning that we are likely to need counseling after the upcoming campaigns. Or straight-jackets.
The Democrats are truly becoming "Al Qaeda, Western Division".

"Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter." -Thomas Jefferson,
Jefferson didn't have a paper like the Palm Springs Desert Sun! (Ca.)They print from two to five "Bush-Bashing" letters daily and rarely a rebuttal. You know they must get tons of rebuttals in this, a conservative community.
Anti-gun letters are a shoo-in, try sending them a pro-second amendment letter and see whether it gets published. Pro homo letters are daily fare, almost never a disparaging word. All editorials are from a liberal point of view with an occasional rebuttal.
