Hear hear! Nothing like those serial westerns at the Sat. matinee. Admission 10 cents or so many crushed tin cans or old newspapers.

Nan and I are the same age group, Meg.
Had to clean my room Saturday morning to earn the 25 cents to go to the matinee and cheer the good guys - it was 5 cents to get in, and the rest for candy, plural.

Other than that, we had only radio, of course, and no television!
Comic books and the funnies in the paper - - I still want to know what happened to Jungle Joy, whose plane was lost in South America - Smilin' Jack's wife.....

Hew! I was there, too. Did the western movie, cartoons and serial. When it was over, we went home and re-payed it the rest of the afternoon. After fighting over who got to be Roy Rogers and Dale and who had to be "Gabby."

Movie and popcorn cost 14 cents.
