I'm hearing from a 'solid source' that State Senator Tom McClintock has been offered a deal by the Arnold Schwarzenegger camp.
From what was offered to me, McClintock would become a State Controller by proxy - heading up a blue ribbon committee - overseeing the audit of the state's budget and financial matters.

He said he won't, so why would you post images to the contrary? Cuz I wasn't born yesterday.
I'm at the point now where I kinda hope (R)nold wins for you and others to understand the gravity of this Mistake.

He said he won't, so why would you post images to the contrary? Truth is not a necessary element of propaganda. But, most propagandists get paid very well to ply their trade.

Why would you assume someone is a liar when you have no experience with them, and you have no evidence that they are lying?

Cuz I wasn't born yesterday.
That still doesn't answer my question to you. Why would you intentionally post an image that is not grounded in truth? Come on now, I wasn't born yesterday either. Why build lies around Arnold when he doesn't deserve this treatment?

Jay needs to work on images that are grounded in a truthful message. Not this terrible attempt to smear and twist the truth.Oh, the irony. Thanks for the laugh.

You must be a Dim or a Ross Perot type, right? Fred, are you serious? Eric has been a very vocal FR supporter on the Sacramento airwaves.
I've always been a McClintock admirer, but (oh boy, here I go), when you look at the numbers, and what Bustamente stands for ... you can't go running off the cliff with all flags flying, as Ronald Reagan once said.
Cruz WILL do more damage to this state than Arnold could possibly dream of. I see a smooth pathway in a future gubernatorial election for Tom in the future.

I take back my "future governor" remark about Tom. I want him in the Senate. Your post makes ALL kinds of sense. Look at the admiration Bill Simon got when he stepped aside, same with Ueberroth. Day 1 after the recall was certified, Duf Sundheim said on KSFO that for once, the CA(R)s would NOT be the Stupid Party.

He got burned by a Republican President making such promises once. That's enough to make one skeptical, even cynical!

That still doesn't answer my question to you. yeah...it does, you just didn't like the answer. Sorry, I'm not saying he will raise taxes to hurt your feelings. Its grounded in truth because he doesn't know of any other option, its as much what he says he values as much as what he doesn't say that reminds me of old songs I've heard before. He's a Fiscal Moderate, normally a tolerable thing mind you, I would vote him if there was no debt hanging in limbo currently, I'm totally serious. I might still vote for him depending on the landscape in Oct, but just to teach you Zealots a hard lesson about the complexities of party politics and sellout out in adverse situations. How unfortunate that all 3 of you Know It Alls are from Out Of State... and I and the people I care about and love will be the ones personally affected by the Lesson, but a Lesson none the less.
You probably don't know this, but in Jan, Davis said the debt wasn't around 10, it was 38, and that the only solution to this emergency is to raise some taxes temporarily because of the crisis. (sound familiar yet? It will if anyone but Tom gets elected) There was outrage, an explosion that wasn't covered outside as much because of the War, but it was huge here, and the recall was born. I was there on the first day. I posted a link to Ted Costa's declaration. I took all kinds of BS about how it would never qualify for 4 or 5 months, that CA was too liberal, that no one would sign it. Mostly from Out of State, and the cyncism continued to evolve but not abate until we got about 3/4 there. Finally, I "won" but one of the criticisms I fought against was "what would happen if the GOP gets in there and can't fix the problem? They'll be blamed for everything and destroy the party" I said it will never happen, there is no one in the party that won't hold the same line as the Leg currently is(no taxes under any circumstances), Issa, Simon all of them are good enough, I said, and no one would show up to vote to hold serve for the Demos with their clear contrast.
Now things are so different, and so dark. I know all 3 of you hate me personally, I've spoken to you many times, but I can tell you something that might surprise you; I was wrong. Those cynics knew of one scenerio I never counted on in my recall battles, an incompetent Republican that has fame as his major ally, drunk on it as his own self righteousness to never be accountable to anyone. This is 2 of many many reasons that quite frankly, we are doomed. That is saying alot for someone as persistently optimistic as I've always been.
You will see before next June how wrong all 4 of us have been.
