I'm hearing from a 'solid source' that State Senator Tom McClintock has been offered a deal by the Arnold Schwarzenegger camp.
From what was offered to me, McClintock would become a State Controller by proxy - heading up a blue ribbon committee - overseeing the audit of the state's budget and financial matters.

LOL. pizza and salad use many ingredients that are products of California. LOL. Tom is supporting the farmers of california, dontcha know. ;-)
Oh, and that manufactured poll,, what a hoot. you really think he dropped 8 points. LOL
The convention where arnold will avoid debating Tom in front of all the delegates and the Sept 24th debate lie ahead. Give us a break with the ranting. Please.
Let the process go forward and have another cup of whine. :-)

And then, Reagan79's alarm clock woke him from his slumber... How much do you want to bet that it is a fully detailed, 8-inch tall statue of Ross Perot? The clock face is probably buried in Ross' belly, and you slap the brush cut on top of the statue for the snooze alarm.

Let the process go forward and have another cup of whine. Who's whining? The candidate I support is polling a lot higher than 8 percent ;)

I love it when a plan comes together. As I predicted:
8/24/03: McClintock as insurance against the "late hit"
8/26/03: Send me (whoever's ahead) to Sacramento to rebuild Republican presence
9/1/03: McClintock should stay in to ensure conservative points are represented, then the trailer throws support to the leader in the final week
9/4/03: Schwarzenegger -- GOP coalition builder or flash in the pan?
9/6/03: The Plan -- Join forces. GOP cease fire, attack Davis/Bustamante, leader offers trailer prominent role in future administration
9/6/03: Trailer "takes one for the team"
9/10/03: McClintock resolute to maintain campaign credibility. Still is GOP insurance. Still expected to do the right thing in the end.
We appear to be at the crossroads. I expect the drama to play out over the weekend for the benefit of the CA GOP convention. By Monday, the essence of this thread will come true (although the roles may be different in the final scene). Schwarzenegger will be the lead candidate, McClintock will be his "second," but McClintock will not formally drop out of the race until the final days. Together, they will defeat the Democrats and retake Sacramento, and McClintock will be a prominent player in Schwarzenegger's administration, his go-to guy in the Senate, and his annointed candidate for the US Senate in 2004.

McNugget had best hurry up and accept Schwarzenegger's offer, for his poll numbers are going down faster than a Tijuana prostitute when the fleet's in town.Too funny! You have a sharp wit and a way with words!

That one I can't take credit for. Dad was a sailor too, and some of his more colorful sayings got picked up by this little pitcher with big ears ;)

That image is so full of lies and distortion. Arnold said he would not raise taxes, yet that image attempts to convey the message that he has offered that as the solution to CA's problems.
Jay needs to work on images that are grounded in a truthful message. Not this terrible attempt to smear and twist the truth.
