It must be hell living in a bubble where everything you see on the TV is taken as gospel truth.
No spoon feeding here, please.

"So true, blam! When the election of 2000 was finally over, I got down on my creaky knees and thanked the Lord that we had George Bush instead of more clinton-light."
Me too. I think a lot of us did. During the election my constant prayer was that the good Lord would give us the President we needed, not the one we deserved.

No, but I wish I had. A neighbor told me about it, and my daughter watched part of it. I e-mailed TLC/Discovery to see if a video or DVD is available, and they said no, and also they didn't have any plans for reairing it. Maybe if enough of us ask them, they'll schedule it for another time.

It also follows EXACTLY the Showtime docudrama showing now, DC 9/11. The only difference I can see is that the docudrama uses actors to play the parts but the incidents and dialog are almost identical.

I contacted CBS News who produced this documentary, and they said they are not making this available on DVD or VHS. Maybe if they heard from alot of people about this, they would reconsider..Perhaps being as liberal as they are, they don't want this to be available as it puts GWB in such a good light ( before election year).HHHHmmm...I wonder....

I was in DC this past summer and as we drove by the Pentegon .. I couldn't believe how close to the highway it was .. and thinking what it must have been like to be driving by and seeing that plane hitting My wife likes to quilt, and I accompanied her to the annual International Quilt Show in 2001. It took place only about 90 days after 9/11, and it was incredible -- quilters tend to be very "traditional" Americans, and there were *hundreds* of quilts already finished and on display at the show which commemorated 9/11. This is staggering when you consider how much time and work goes into making a quilt. These many ladies (I suppose some guys must quilt, but I haven't seen any) had all managed to design, piece, assemble, quilt, finish, and bring or ship their 9/11 quilts to the quilt convention in the few short weeks available to them.
The 9/11 wounds were still raw and fresh at the time of the quilt show, and walking along the aisles of freshly made 9/11 quilts was extremely moving. If your only familiarity with quilts is grandma's star quilt, you'd be amazed at the modern styles. Many quilts look like oil paintings of scenes, with each "brush stroke" implemented in a narrow wedge of colored cloth. Others have embroidered text or pictures, sewn either by hand or by sewing machines with computer chips in them. Still other techniques include patterns embossed onto the quilt in a manner similar to an iron-on T-shirt pattern. And so on.
The 9/11 quilts were like cloth-based murals, each telling its story in ways as unique as the person who had made it.
One of the most striking was a quilt which told a narrative in four "panels", one in each quadrant. It was entitled, "the shadow passed over my house", and in text and images it told the story of how the woman who made it lived in Washington DC, and the plane which hit the Pentagon had passed over her house so low that the roar of its engines shook her house and its shadow put her house into darkness for a moment. She was still wondering what that meant when she heard the crash at the Pentagon.

Thank you for sharing that story with us
We can never forget 9/11

"It must be hell living in a bubble where everything you see on the TV is taken as gospel truth." I merely commented on your "worship" hyperbole. I said nothing about the veracity of the television program in question.
However, now you've gone and piqued my curiosity. What, pray tell, is the unspoken truth that said television program deftly conceals?

CBS replied to my e-mail that they have no plans for selling a video or DVD of "The President's Day, 9-11" at this time. TLC is not selling it either, as it's not theirs to sell.

Sometimes the omission of other facts would lead one to believe that what is being put forth is indesputable. Call it creative editing. The story being told could be politely called one sided. It did not cast a critical eye apon what transpired, hence, I chose to use the term propaganda.
I still stand by my original statement.
