The reason I inadvertently re-posted this article was driven by my anger at two editorials in the LA Times regarding Prop 54. The most recent was one by George Skelton taday. Both implied that this information needs to be gathered because it may show evidence of racial discrimination. It's this pre-supposition which is the major reason this information shouldn't be gather. Not because of the data but the fact that it's continually misused to prove that any discrepancies between different races and ethnicities are a result of discrimination.
As with all things stupidly liberal, radical equality is presupposed. All races and creeds are identical. All races behave in the same manner under every conceivable circumstance. Any deviation from the myth of radical equality does not indicate that radical equality is flawed; is a sign of bigotry, of "hate."
Of course, the presupposition is the problem. Human beings are not interchangeable parts in a machine, however much the socialists dream of that idiotic reality.
