Hopefully IL can get it together.

Unfortunately, there is not a single group leading the charge in Illinois. ConcealCarry.org is going out of business in a few days, and its founder has decided that he has had enough. ISRA (Illinois State Rifle Association) has done exactly ZERO on this issue. The NRA has provided a bill, but there is only one sponsor in the senate and house. I called the senator's office -- his staff told me that the bill is dead in committee and that no one is pushing the bill.

The biggest obstacle to right-to-carry in Illinois is the ISRA. ISRA is simply a target shooting club run exclusively by Richard Pearson, and refuses to do anything pro-active in Illinois. The only way a right-to-carry law will be passed in Illinois is if a new organization springs up to carry the torch.

People in Missouri should remember that carrying in Illinois is a FELONY (courtesy of our former "Republican" Governor, George Ryan).

I hate to tell you this but what's the point?

If the dems are in charge of Illinois, they will never pass a CCW law or reverse any of the other gun contol laws. It's all about votes.

It would be the same as dumping a lot of money into a Republican Mayoral candidate in Chicago.

It's like playing the card game "War" when you can choose which card to play. If you're going to lose, you might as well throw down a duece.
