Oh come on, Churchill. Rush's comment was incredibly mild, compared to what the 'Rats are saying about conservatives. One of the reasons they're still winnig, despite their minority status, is that Pubbies look at politics as a chess match, while the 'Rats are waging guerilla warfare. It's about time the Pubbies pull their heads out of their proverbial back pockets and start fighting fire with fire. The whole "that would only sink us to their level" stuff is getting really old...I love every salvo The Great One fires at the enemy.

The fact that Democrats resort to childish name-calling doesn't make it more effective or appealing for Rush to do it.

I agree with you that the GOP needs to grow a pair and fight - - but I disagree that effective fighting amounts to "so's your old man" and other infantile verbal slings. Really effective fighting would be such things as 24 hour sessions to break filibusters; detailed exposes of graft and corruption on the Dem side; unleashing federal prosecutors against pardongate and other unsavory stuff from the past administration.

Calling somebody a "witch" only gives the other side ammunition for their claim that conservatives are dullards and demagogues; It doesn't persuade anybody and it doesn't make Hillary or any other Dem accountable for the real harm - or alleged crimes - that they've been involved in.
