Dansy, you did a wonderful job with "Where Were You?" Those words sure bring back memories from that awful day.

I find this photo posted on America Remembers September 11, 2001 thread incredibly moving.

I never realized how close Arlington National is to the Pentagon. Extremely disturbing and moving photo, to be sure. Thank you for posting it here, and for your kind compliment.

Can you imagine the ghosts of Arlington stirring in their graves and weeping because of what we lost that day? Of all the pictures I have seen, that is the most poignant.

Why? Because the men and women lying there fought to keep something like this from happening and WE failed them. WE failed to take up the baton and keep it from happening. This was never supposed to happen.
