Race, you may not be able to go overseas and fight the enemy there, but there is plenty that you can be doing here.
Keeping America free is our number one priority. The dummy's overseas have been tearing themselves apart for ages. The infighting among the different sects an the Arabs and the Jewish population will never stop. They have to much to lose if it does, namely our dollars. Let the countries of the middle east keep committing genocide, the enjoy it.
Let's work to keep America a Republic and a free land.
Let's keep freedom ringing. We have a job to do - elections are coming up.

Thanks for the awesome graphics!
I was out to sea on the USS George Washington. We were about 100nm off the coast of Virginia when the Captain came over the loudspeaker system and told us what was going on. We were receiving CNN live via satalite (we don't get FNC when we are out to sea, must be a conspiracy) and I turned it on just in time to see the first tower fall. My shipmates and I were in shock like the rest of the country and we were worried about our families back in Norfolk, would that be a target too?
The evening of the 11th we were orded to head to NY harbor to send a display of strength and establish a coastal air and sea patrol.

You're welcome Dansy. It took me a long time to get over the initial shock, actually until I was able to get to a computer and talk and rant and bemoan and do all of the things that you can when you grieve, with friends. Both here and at Paltalk.

Good morning Pip. It's interesting to see how everyone remembers this day. We were all in a different place but we all felt the same emotions.

Good morning Dansy, and FRiends....a sad morning to remember. We have a American Legion rememberance to attend at noon.
DK and I were leaving our motel in Las Vegas, in fact we just crossed the bridge at Hoover Dam before they shut her down. We had just finished breakfast at a Cracker Barrell when DK's supervisor called and told us about it. The first words out of DK's mouth were 'you're kidding me Bill'. We were stunned, and scrambled to find news on the little portable TV/radio we had taken with us. We kept on driving as fast as we could to get home to Memphis. Kept dialing in the TV whenever we hit a major market where we could pick up even a fuzzy picture. First thing in the motel room we flipped on FNC and stayed riveted to it well into the night, then until we bailed out of the motel room to continue coming home.
Coffee to brace us for the start of this sad day.

You did a nice, quiet job this morning. I didn't realize you were such a poet. I really like what you had to say. Take care today.

Thank you, CVN73, for being there, for being ready and WILLING to serve and protect.

I totally understand. Even though it took me another month, 9-11 was one of the reasons I stopped lurking and started posting on FR.

Thank you for the coffee and especially the memories, (((((Gail)))) How strange it must have felt to be away from home when the news hit. I only work a mile and a half from where we live and that ride home seemed like an eternity. I wanted to be with my husband and see for myself what I had been listening to all day.

Our Postal facility is very near the airport, and when I left that afternoon, I stood outside and just listened to the utter silence. It seemed as if the whole world had come to a halt.I'll bet the silence was deafening. It's strange that when we are near something noisy (like an airport, or the RR tracks), we don't hear it after a while. But, when the noise stops, it's almost startling.
Thank you for your story (((((gracex7)))))

Thank you for the beautiful graphic ((((((Mayor)))))))
We must remember that it is by His grace that we have been able to strengthen ourselves and recover from this horrible act.

where was I ?
I was right here and watching Fox live as the second tower was hit.
First came the sorrow, then the anger.
I will Never forget and will never stop supporting and Praying for our Troops and Leaders asking for Gods guidence, wisdom and Protection.
