"For now the GOP will have to do. I'd hate to see another fragmentation like Ross Perot did which in effect put Willie in the first time."

+

"...the upcoming signing of the Law to prohibit Partial Birth Abortion is a good step. Then, I'd really like to see some bills consolidating various social spending programs into lower-cost combined programs, then some devolvement of Power from the Feds to the States. The ideas are out there, now it's up to the Pubbies to get behind them between now and November 2004."

Gentlemen & *mom*?
I'v an *idea*.
How about the GOP do a little *fragmenting* of their own for a change?
I mean as long as the right controls the "power" visa vi chairing *all* the committees??

How about if "our guys" innundated the senate & congress with every single thing -- social, fiscal, or otherwise -- in the form of a bill we'd ever dreamt of, at once.
Let there be so many pieces of legislation needing signatures sitting on Dubya's desk we won't be able to see him from beghind the stackS.

Think that'd keep the Liberal-Socialist buggers too *busy* to be scheming while concurrently keeping their lamestream quisling mediots moving in so many directions they're bitching will sound one continuos groan?? :o)

I do.

We on the right make such *nice*, slow moving targets.
The Liberal-Socialists seem to take us & our legislation on one at a time which sure gives the Liberal-Socialists wayyyyyy too mach time to scheme, get everyone in synch & then bottle everything up.

Did anyone notice how *swiftly* & the sheer volume of crud that was processed during Clinoccio's tenure?

If our guys decided they were going to blitzkrieg the Liberal-Socialists I ask you, just *who* do y'all think would then be "shutting down" government?
Hmmmmm?

"If they do, I can foresee a Reagan'84-style landslide in 11/04 with coattails enuff to give the GOP a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate!!"

The operative word with our gutless -- & I'm beginning to think gawd-awful corrupt statists -- side is, has been, & apparently will always continue to be the *same*.

...if-if-if.

To a certain extent, the House has already tried to do much of what you suggest, only to see the legislation bottled up in the Senate. I'm with ya, though...I can't believe it's taken until now to see a Bill Banning Partial Birth Abortion, but it looks like it's finally becoming a reality. How 'bout a real Education Vouchers Plan combined with Block Granting Education Funds to the States, sans Federal oversight?! How 'bout another significant cut in the Capital Gains Tax? How 'bout eliminating federal funding for the Arts and PBS? How 'bout FINALLY defending our borders like we all know we can so as to stop the bleeding from being forced to pay for the social costs of illegal immigrants? How about eliminating the Department of Energy and dissolving its duties into other agencies?! FReepers know the issues with which we are confronted and could help to fashion the DOMESTIC Contract For America on which Pubbies could run in '04...if there's a will, there's certainly a way!!

Well, the idea is great and would make excellent fodder at a redtablemeeting. And I think it's doable in the congress, but the Senate is actually controlled by RINO's and it ain't gonna happen there!
