"It's those damn homophones, they get me every time..."

They *do*???
>?<
OK.
I'm envisioning a set headphones with one earpiece missing, y'know.

"...maybe I should be homophobic."

Now be honest Vic, really think it'd help as much as some acquring another more productive, desirable phobia?

>Great rant.
"on occasion I have flashes of intelligence."

You're an extremely bright young Lady, make no mistake about that.
That you could piss me off so completely, so resoundingly with so few words proved that much.

"BTW, update on my schooling...I'm still maintaining a 3.95 average (dang stupid A- in one class or I'd have a 4.0). I'm proud of myself."

As well you should be proud; because, you *earned* the right.
Now make damned sure your youngster's watching your hard work & earned recognitions that're coming your way like a hawk, y'hear?

BTW, you said I was "witty" the other day, remember?
So this morning I made some crack to my bride & what does she say to me?
"I go to bed with Attila & wake up with Groucho Marks."
HA!!
I'd say after 30 years she's a firm handle on the situation, wouldn't you agree? {g}

Now as to this music you've been listening to?
I've a suggestion to make.
Methinks your repertoire needs work kid, call it more "diversity" if ya please.
So why don't I do for you what I've done for other of our friends here at Black & rip you some real red meat to sink your ears into?

Game?
Respond to me via freepmail with the particulars & we can get started bringing you up to speed.

...& putting some *real* flair into your life. ;^)

ROTFL...Homophone (n) one of two or more words pronounced alike but different in meaning or derivation or spelling. ie: do, due, dew or in my previous example break & brake. ;o)

I have a funny story about the word "homophone"...in my business writing class the professor couldn't figure out what the phrase/word was for that scenario (two words sounding alike but different), so he turns and asks me...just like he did when he couldn't answer one of my classmates questions about when to use whomever or whoever or which v. that. *rolling eyes* No wonder I received an A+ in that class, I should have been teaching it. That was my first career desire, to teach English in high school or college. I still may some day.

Now be honest Vic, really think it'd help as much as some acquring another more productive, desirable phobia?

Hmmm, the only thing I fear is not having fun in life! :o) I just find it funny in this day and age that we use the word "homophobic" to describe the fear of gays...broken down to it's roots...homophobic would actually mean the fear of the same? (or something like that) Our language and the way it develops is hysterical.

You're an extremely bright young Lady, make no mistake about that. That you could piss me off so completely, so resoundingly with so few words proved that much.

Yes, and I'm glad you forgave me, I've missed you! Don't worry, I annoy my boss too...he loves me to death and is annoyed by me at the same time, which is why he's always kept me 200 miles away from him! :o) He'll miss me when I'm gone, though. I'm like a bad habit...addicting and annoying. LOL

As well you should be proud; because, you *earned* the right. Now make damned sure your youngster's watching your hard work & earned recognitions that're coming your way like a hawk, y'hear?

Through tears, prayers, stress and hardwork, that little troubled one has made a 180 this summer and her grades have improved dramatically. She has larger than life goals and I fully encourage them. They are both outstanding youngsters, I am blessed. I just wish the littlest one would advocate her thrown as the princess of whine-a.

I'd say after 30 years she's a firm handle on the situation, wouldn't you agree?

Sounds like the missuz is a very intelligent lady. ;o)

I'm game...you'll have some FReep mail. I love diversity...and you'd be amazed at how diverse my music catalog is..mostly because of friends with great taste that keep opening my eyes to new & wonderful music. I'm always up for trying new sounds.
