We played in Boston Saturday. On the way up we watched the Making of Dark Side of the Moon dvd.(not sure of the title)

It is a must watch.

Waters has got to be one of the saddest individuals I've ever seen. You would think the guy never had a good day in his life.

His misery aside, it is an incredible documentary on how they put that record together. Gilmour is like a proper English Gentleman/Professor.

Clare Torrey still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear Great Gig in the Sky.

We were so amped after watching it, we played Breathe as soon as we got onstage. The airheads don't get it, but man it was fun!

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.
If you haven't seen the DVD "Rogers Waters: In The Flesh" do see that one. too.
*Excellent*.

"Waters has got to be one of the saddest individuals I've ever seen. You would think the guy never had a good day in his life."

Roger's somehow gets by & done "OK" for himself, CM. {g}
Just remember if it weren't for Waters' POV, there'd never have been a "Pink Floyd" as we know it...Gilmore or no Gilmore.

"His misery aside, it is an incredible documentary on how they put that record together. Gilmour is like a proper English Gentleman/Professor."

Damned shame they couldn't *all* keep their bloated egos in check -- especially Waters -- that's all I can say.
Maybe it's an inevitablility that a group of people who're for years so close, ultimately end up flying apart?
Seems a phenomenon of the musicians of our times as opposed to the "swing" era, too.
Ugly breakups are the ending for so many groups time & again, Marshall Tucker included.
It's as if these people think they're going to live forever & can afford to waste their talent & lives to make some meaningless point, eh?

Interestingly enough, I was listening to Alan Parsons speak on the remastering Dark Side of the Moon underwent, without, PF ever consulting with him on the project.
So not only are the PF group members at each others throats, now they've one of the best producers they ever had feeling quite ripped off & very bitter about 'em, too.

"We were so amped after watching it, we played Breathe as soon as we got onstage."

Really?
You guys actually have that one in your repertoire, huh.
Fabulous.

"The airheads don't get it..."

HA!!
No I shouldn't expect they would if it wasn't done as a "rap."

...there's a "payback" in there for the himbos & bimbos, y'know. ;^)
