>But Mud, ol' man? Does it have to be one from that half-pint little shit-socialist wannabe, Springstein?
"Well, you told me so and you wuz RIGHT!!"

Yea, I know I was right.
Wished I hadn't been, truth be known.
I get no special thrill outa shittin' on someone's memories.
FWIW you should know 8 out of every 10 icons I grew up respecting turned out to be political POS, too; which, meant I had to cut them & their memories loose.
All a part of growing up, I guess.

"Now it frees me up to blasphemy the Boss's tunes with the same reckless disregard I FReep the hopelessly Lib'ral Dylan and Jewel..."

Man's gotta do what he has to do.

"BTW...I received your package..."

Most *excellent*.

It never occurred to me your power would be taken out from what I percieved had become somewhat of a pissant storm by the time it hit land.
Must be a real PITA, is all I can say.

"Dude, I been checkin' out the CD you sent and liked a lot of what Randy Moore and the Fabulous Deltones had to offer..."

Randy's one of the nicest people you ever wanted to meet, on top of it Mud.
You outa just *see* what this man can do with his Guild.
Ever seen a guy kneel down on stage, guitar supported (on the horizontal) upon his knee & using a slide, make that guitar sound exactly *like* a peddle steel guitar?
This guy does it, & with such ease.
It's embarrassing to anyone who'd aspire to play the instrument, at least such was my reaction.

*All* of the songs on the album, "Southern Thing," Randy wrote from personal experience based upon his childhood growing up a very poor kid, in Nashville.
"I Saw The Stars" is best example, I thought.
This man really did stand outside the Grand Ol' Opry in the summer selling lemonaid.
The biggest names in country music during rehearsal breaks would sometimes come outside and buy a cup & speak with him for a few minutes.
How neat is that, Mr.M??

Those legendary names inspired this man to do what he's doing today, &, as you noticed his music is *rich* with his love of God, country & all the things that once made this nation great.

Randy & his group are yet another example of damned good "traditional" music being produced right now by American's best & brightest -- be it country *or* R&R -- and totally ignored by the powers-that-be.
Ignored mind you in lieu of the crap the public's aggressively being force-fed from the lowest & worst scum *any* nation could possibly produce.
Believe me when I say [that] was the subject of some intense discussions Randy & us enjoyed through this guy's breaks between three whole sets.

Altghough it's a crying shame these kinds of people are being actively shut out -- literally censored -- the good news is that they're still out there, still knocking around.
They won't be silenced & the PC monsters have not been able to shut 'em down in spite of their best effort(s).
In fact?
The many hardships imposed on these people by the Liberal-Socialist assholes is merely serving to inspire many of these American song writer/performers material, &, stiffened their resolve to succeed.
Their beautiful, creative, & inspirational music reflects as much.

As the music industry -- enmasse -- continues to tank these kinds of people are growing stronger & stronger as they wait, while their music grows ever so rich.

...but a coupla Eels' songs jumped out at me as imminently FReepable. #14 'Love of the Loveless' sounded almost like Lou Reed and could be FReeped into 'MUD Wants Some Justice!!' quite easily, I believe!!"

Really.
Never thought for a minute of you *freepin'* their stuff, but, I suppose you could.
Hells bells Mud, if I had to guess which song you'd do?
I'd have picked, "Restraining Order Blues."
~hands-down. {g}

Hard to believe Mark's the same [tender] age as you, Mud.
His songs are so full of insight well beyond his years.

Listen, if you've the latest iteration of "Media Player" you simply must take a moment to read up on Mark Oliver Everette & The EELS, y'hear?
In this day and age of our being carpet bombed by Hip-Hop/Rap garbage, that this guy's out there surviving -- even thriving -- is quite remarkable.
You wouldn't believe the following the eels have here & abroad, either.
Not if one were to depend on today's FM radio stations as any indicator, you wouldn't.

"Also, 'Wrong About Bobby' has a nice Kinks-esque beat to it and I believe it could be FReeped into a Lib'ral admittance that they wuz 'Wrong About Bubba!!'"

HA!!
Especially the *way* he turns it around on the listener as they follow the lyrics.
I so do like that one; but, then again I like 'em all.
If I had to choose a personal fav, I suppose it'd have to be, "Lone Wolf."

Just be advised thier music has a way of *infecting* a person, their songs will haunt you throughout the day.
Highly addicting stuff, y'know.

"thanks fer the inspiration, mi hermano!!"

You're quite welcome.
Food for starving ears, I'd thought; especially, on the heels of the Boss Leaker's *outing*.
Was timely if nothing else, eh.

Actually want to thank CM for making me aware the eels had this latest album out.
There's a gal (out there) in cyberland who knew how much I enjoyed the eels' first work, "Beautiful Freaks."
This Angel was kind & thoughtful enough to send me their second work titled "Electro-Shock Blues," as a gift.
At first I really didn't care for it; but, after hearing "Shootenanny"?
I decided to give E-SB another listen & wouldn't you know it, the thing really grew on me; and, after I'd read precisely what had inspired Mark to write that album, it was clear I was thoroghly *hooked*.

So CM really did me a *huge* favor.
I'm really glad we had our conversation; so, a BIG thank you goes out to Mr.A.

I've had something in *mind* to send our friend "The Sultan," also.
It takes time to figure out exactly what music *fits* a certain personality, so I'm thinking he'd like a few things I'd sent you, previously.
Think I'll just have to sit down & rip those recordings for him real soon, too.

...enjoy.

De nada, friend.

Haven't heard anything from that new eels record yet. Is it as good as the first?

Been so busy keeping this so-called career afloat all side projects have been on hold for months. Something's gotta pop soon or I'll end up a soulless veg with a strat in a tux.

Music rules , but the business sucks. Even with people like Norah selling 10 mil, they won't even look at anybody whose music might sell to anybody over 30. If it goes over the head of your average 17yr old skateboard putz, they ain't biting.

We're trying to put together an indie release for early next year. Being on this cover circuit merry-go-round makes it difficult to get anything done. Gotta pay the bills ya know........

We can only hope that the music gets out.
