Watching here too, he insinuated he would support Arnold and than turned around and said he was in it until the end. He comes off as rather stubborn, but maybe that's how he wants to play it, for now!
I can't imagine either one of them would stay til the end if that meant Bustamante wins, if McClintock doesn't pull out (if Arnold is still holding the lead) his political career will be over!

This is the third day Californians have been mailing in absentee ballots. For that entire three days Mcclintock's been syphoning votes away from the only man who can keep bustamante from becoming California's next governor.

He needs to drop out NOW!

But he's too stubborn to do it.

He's as big a sore loser as al gore ever was.
