Hannity does that all the time. He is so anxious to appear aggressive and incisive, hard-hitting and Ann Coulter-like that he loses sight of the issues and just sounds rude. It has the effect of preaching only to the choir and convincing noone.

He was almost exactly the same with Bill Simon in every single interview last fall. Hannity avoided the real issues in favor of asking questions about polls, yet doesn't allow the interviewees to finish complete sentences.

Maybe that style appeals more to the nationwide audience, but as a Californian I find his interviews of McClintock or of Simon were big wastes of time. Hannity sounds rude whenever he doesn't agree with his interviewee.
