You're probably right.
West Newton is only about 5~6 miles from Smithton, but Jones Brewing went belly-up just a couple years ago. (Officials working to save brewery).
Last I heard, Iron City was gonna bottle beer for them using the Stoney's and Esquire label. I don't know if that came about or not.
Another bit of Western Pa. beer trivia: Shirley Jones (of Holleyweird fame) is originally from Smithton, and is somehow related to Stoney Jones who owned the brewery. I think Stoney was either Shirley's uncle or grandfather. Something like that anyway. I'd have to give my folks a call to find out for sure.
