I agree Tamsey. 'Tator's comment was the most incredibly stupid statement I've read on FR in recent days, and I've read a lot of stupid statements.
I'm beginning to believe that the real McClintock supporters have gone silent on FR because 1) they realize their hopes for their candidate are fading, and 2) they really don't want to be associated with the asses who have filled the vacuum. We're now dealing with the desperate, the pathetic, the intellectual midgets, and disgustingly vile. Why do we waste our time on them?

You must be another one of the 33 percenters here on freeeeerepublic, NOW known as RINOs...I have found that those who are the biggest "RINO-bashers" aren't even "Republican In Name." They are "my-way-or-the-highway" whiners. Sad to say, even FreeRepublic has its lunatic fringe.

Personally, I consider my own humble efforts to be damage control. I don't expect to change a single mind here at all. Less politically engaged folks get directed here when they do Google searches, though, and if "pragmatic" conservatives backed off and let the Arnold-smearing go unhindered, then the boards here would really just help the Democrats.
Some here may feel differently and be defending Arnold's positions for other reasons... like they enjoy battering their heads against stone walls, for instance ;-)

Politics is for grown ups, boys. Pull your fingers out of your nose, wipe the buggers on the bottom of your flip-flops and go eat some Dorito's. I've promised not to comment on the CA election anymore. I'm too conflicted both ways. However, I had to point out that this comment made no sense whatsoever.

One could say that the only thing the recall effort has thus far accomplished is that illegals can now get a drivers license in Callie-fornia.
And because of that they can obtain a voters registration card with which to vote Democratic.

Have to agree, CT. That is just about the dimmest statement I've read by anyone.
In your seething personal hatred for Schwarzenegger, you praise Clinton by faint damn.

In your seething personal hatred for Schwarzenegger, you praise Clinton by faint damn. I don't hate Schwarzenegger and I don't hate Clinton.
But let me give you one more example. In her latest column Deb Saunders reports on a one on one interview she just had with Arnie. She asked him if he has engaged in sexual exploits like the one described in the 26 year old magazine article since the 1970s. Arnie gives an evasive answer. He replied to Debs question by saying he told the magazine lies to increase the sign ups at the gym. He said sales picked up a lot after he made those statements to the press.
Now let us believe that evey word he just told Debbie is true. He lied about what was really happened at the Gym to get guys to sign up. By his own admission Arnie says he lied to potential customers in order to get them to give him their business.
What Arnie was doing was telling prospective members of the Gym that they would get to gangbang sexy girls if they signed up for body building courses. What he just told Debbie was in Arnie's Book it is Ok to lie to people to get them to do what he wants.
What part of Arnie's explanation being based on it is Ok to lie to get what you want Escapes YOU?
Is it then OK for Arnie the liberal to tell you he is a fiscal conservative in order to get your votes?
Will he if elected say, I just told them those lies about raising taxes and cutting spending to get their votes. I said it to pick up votes and it really worked.
Clinton = LIAR
Arnie = Liar that boasts about it

Weak try to save face after an indefensible remark.
Easy to undo your presentation. To wit:
1. Where does AS "boast" of having lied?
2. Have you ever lied? If you say "yes," or explain why you did it, are you boasting about it?
3. Your idea that bongo-beating Bill Clinton felt shame about lying or anything else flies in the face of EVERYTHING we know about him.
I repeat: yours is one of the dimmest remarks I've ever read here. It praises Clinton by faint damn, in your overdeveloped zeal for smearing Schwarzenegger.
That's not a good thing.

Pull your fingers out of your nose,....., I had to point out that this comment made no sense whatsoever.
The implication of the former, is that the photoshop graphic at the beginning of this thread was more like a childish prank than good political satire. The time for that sort of thing is after the recall, not before. All of these recall threads that regard Republican candidates, tend to be either started by children or invaded by children, with their fingers in their nose.

Here is the first part of Debra Saunders latest column.

Arnold live
Debra Saunders
September 11, 2003 | Print | Send
I just got off the phone with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I'm a Republican. I want to vote for him. I want to
believe. Schwarzenegger doesn't quite convince me. That
little extra something that tells me he's one of us -- a
Republican who is willing to cut spending and gut bad
regulations -- is missing.
I think that man lurks behind the curtain, but I didn't
quite hear him on the speaker phone.
I started by asking Schwarzenegger about the stories of
him with women in the '70s. Just tell me, I said, that if
you're governor, there won't be any more stories like
those.
His answer: The stories weren't true. Saying outrageous
things "made a lot of people come to the gym," which
promoted bodybuilding. Now he's married, has four kids.
Arnie admits, according to this column that Arnie told the press things that were not true in order to get business for his Body Building Gym. He also said it worked. See above.
If your Arnie thinks it is OK to lie about Sex and Drugs to get business for his gym, why can't Davis lie about deficits to get votes for his election?

Umm.. OK. Help me on a couple more itmes. What, prey tell do sandals and Doritos have to do with anything?
I'm sure you know what you mean, but you are going to have to explain yourself further to the rest of us simpletons. We aren't as mentally gifted as you, you understand. Shine a light on your brilliant observations for us, would ya?

The only difference between Arnie and Clinton is Bill Clinton is ashamed of his sexual escapades.Oh?
