It's called "The German Colony" because that's the neighborhood in Jerusalem where many German-speaking Zionists from Europe settled after the First World War.
It had that name years before the Holocaust.

"No one consulted us about this truce," said Maqdah in a recent interview. "We have said very clearly that we will never put down our arms while there is occupation and if one Palestinian prisoner remains in an Israeli jail."[17] Thank you.

In Israel, seriously means missing body parts. It is the same as critical in the States. If you are so close to a shock wave that it takes off parts, your brain and internal organs are never the same. Even if you walk, you are a sort of vegetable. Lots of walking wounded in Israel.
The sirens are still going off, so this is a real bad one.
Every time Sharon leaves they hit, notice that? The Arabs really are afraid of him.
I honestly think the only way to fix this mess is drive all the arabs over the border into Jordan. After all they got Jordan in trade in the very first "land for Peace" deal.
Time Jordan paid the debt.

Don't think anyone wants to see that much slaughter that is sane If that's the choice, I'd rather be alive and insane...

Stay safe AI.
I hope Arafat gets a slug right between the eyes tonight.

Already is a wall all around Israel, why build another? The Palestinians have invalidated any right to the land a few dozen mass murder parties ago. Like people who dance in the streets when sky scrapers explode will ever make a state. Best they will ever do is a gang war in a slum and mass starvation.
Come to think of it, that is a pretty good way to describe Ramallah where fatty has his HQ, now that I think about it.

Peace is only a process when one of the "partners" really does not want peace. This should be the Quote of the Day. It's sadly appropriate.

Bombing in Jerusalem cafe: 6 dead, dozens wounded
By israelinsider staff September 10, 2003
A bomb exploded in crowded Cafe Hillel at 11:20 pm in the popular Emek Refaim entertainment district in the southern part of the city. There are more than 31 casualties, at least 14 seriously, and at least 6 dead Israelis. The death toll is expected to rise.
Ambulances are evacuating the wounded. A suicide bomber is believed to have overcome a security guard and exploded as he entered the cafe, which is completely destroyed.
Puddles of blood covered the ground in and around the site of the blast, and witnesses report bloodstains and body parts dozens of meters from the cafe.
According to Jerusalem police chief Miki Levy, one of the security guards perceived the bomber and tried unsuccessfully to push him out.
Channel Two correspondent Moshe Nussbaum reported that police are stopping and checking each incoming ambulance for fear that they may contain bombs or terrorists.
Commentators compared the bombing to the attack two years ago on the popular Moment Cafe in Jerusalem, in which more than 20 people were killed.
Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin praised the attack, and the Izzadeen el Kassam brigades published a claim of responsibility for this attack and the one earlier in the day at a bus stop near an army base in Tzrifin.
The Hamas statement said that there would be more attacks in the very near future.

"The Hamas statement said that there would be more attacks in the very near future." Yup. Probably tonight.
Coming their way, via helicopters and F16s.

Well, the good news is the sirens have pretty much stopped, they must have got done ferrying the wounded to the hospitals.
It is past midnight, I gotta crash. Blessings to you all, write your Congress critters and tell them to tell Powell to get a clue, before the clue grows bigger.
I dont want to come home to this, and at this rate the State Department is going to insure that by the time I come home all American Coffee shops will have armed guards too.
By the way, most guard guys are in their 20's and pretty much get the job cause they got a gun. It is a better paying job than minimum wage I think, most are lucky to have a job.
Hard to have a viable economy when 5% of the work force work as guard or some such security stuff. Quite a drain on the workforce. No burger flippers right out of highschool, everybody is in the military humping a gun for the first three years, women and men alike. Try that for a economic drain.
The whole purpose for the intifadda is to destroy the economy, Arafat has even bragged about it. He does not care that he has destroyed the Palestinian Economy 10 times as bad, he is an Egyptian and America pays his paycheck. Why should he worry.
If the estimates for how much he has socked away from what he has stolen is true, he gets paid about half a million dollars for every Jew he has killed, thousands of them.
Who says crime does not pay?

"The problem is not that the Jews occupy somewhere, it is that they are breathing somewhere"
BINGO!
Most Americans really don't understand what is going on. Terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad are not fighting for liberation; rather they wish for the total annihilation of Israel. Have any of them publicly stated that Israel has a right to exist within secure borders?
Unfortunately, the media over here NEVER addresses this issue. Peace will never be possible between the PLA and Israel until either the terrorist groups lay down their arms and recognize Israel's right to exist or they are crushed out of existence. My guess is they will have to be crushed; the only questions is by whom and when?
Keep safe "American in Israel".

Islam is incompatible with human civilization. It is a religion not of tolerance but of hate and violence. These nut jobs will stop at nothing to ensure the deaths of infidels.
I'm just wondering how long it will be before this crap starts showing up on our shores. Think how easy it would be for these bombers to infiltrate our subway systems.

Will Israel hit if Sharon is away?
To: roses of sharon
Yes, like America, the Commander on the scene has the call. Only happens in truly free countries, and makes our armies incredibly strong. You can bet the Hamas are cowering under their neighbors beds tonight.

I hope and pray they use a 2k bomb on a place full of hamas and to HELL with anyone who is there that gets in the way.
That would be the least acceptable response to this.
