Someone, and I can't recall who, had mentioned the absence of pollsa few days earlier, and referred to that absence as "the dog that didn't bark."
It rang true for me, as I'd been looking for the polls to no avail. Since that is one of the usual ways of observing campaign horseraces, the longer we went without a pole, the more unusual the absence appeared.
I became curious, wondered if anyone else was too, so I posted the thread to that effect.
