He is alive, on a ventilator, had bleeding/surgery on both sides of the brain, the right side from a massive stroke, the other and part of the right side from trauma from the fall. He is in a drug-induced coma and they won't know much else for 24-48 hrs.

That's just awful. Both the stroke and the fall! :(
