Good evening. I have asked for this time to keep you informed of America's actions in the war on terror.

Nearly two years ago, following deadly attacks on our country, we began a systematic campaign against terrorism. These months have been a time of new responsibilities, and sacrifice, and national resolve, and great progress.

There is more at work in these attacks than blind rage. The terrorists have a strategic goal. They want us to leave Iraq before our work is done. They want to shake the will of the civilized world.

He is SO right. Anyone recall the day after the bombing at the UN headquarters in Iraq that the UN was thrown into a tizzy and there was a lot of talk by them that they shouldn't be there?? Thank God our president is not swayed by the evil that men do like the UN cowards are. Let's finish the job so no one else's brother has to go back 10 years down the road and start all over again!

I would have added a paragraph something like this:

"Some have complained about the casualties that have occured. During the course of WWII, over 400,000 US soldiers were killed. During the course of the Korean war, 55,000 US soldiers were killed. During the course of the Vietnam war, over 58,000 US soldiers were killed. Obviously, the loss of a single American soldier is regrettable. On the other hand, we cannot afford to shrink from the task before us. We have absorbed grievous losses in the past fighting for what we believe in. We must face the danger before us resolutely, and be willing to make reasonable sacrifices to support our principles. Looking at pictures of the destruction of the World Trade Center, I cannot but believe that are losses are reasonble, and proportionate to the goals we seek.
