Why would McClintock's crowd like Arnold more? Because seeing someone smeared by the Left evokes conservative sympathy for that person. I've seen & heard some ugly attacks on Arnold these past couple of weeks, and it's made me more likely to vote for him, if only to spite the Left.
I still don't if I'll vote for McClintock or Arnold -- but the more the Left smears one or the other, the more sympathy I feel for that person.

I'll tell any pollster I'm for McClintock, but whoever's leading on election night is who I'm voting for.
I'm leaving California either way, but I wouldn't wish a Cruz Busta administration on my worst enemy. His defeat is the single most important objective in this election. Davis is already toast, that much is decided.
Personally, I think Schwarzenegger's a dork. I'd rather not have to vote for him. But Bustamante is so awful, so sinister, I have to do the right thing and vote to defeat him.
