I will vote for him.
he IS a good man....
but this 87 billion to rebuild two nations for 50 million islamics?
Where's the rest of the arab world's contribution?

Iraq he says, has 60 thousand border guards, protecting them against Iran...

Where's our border guards for staying the daily flow of 10 thousands of illegals on our southern borders? We can pay for THE Iraqis to have border protection, but not us?

yes, I will vote for him... again.
but something just seems out of balance in the priorities.

can we cut 87 billion in programs here, to pay for THEIR programs, buildings and infrastructures there?... and why would or should WE cut OUR programs?

Whatever happened to using Iraqi oil to pay for rebuilding Iraq?

call me impractical, but I am not altogether impressed with "we need to spend more" at this critical time in our nation's own financial well being...

What am I not getting?

We've got to stop them from blowing up pipelines first.

Our cut comes later...
Call this an "investment".

I firmly believe that Iraq will pay their fair share if and when the oil starts to flow at a normal pace.

The rest of the Arab world would contribute to rebuild the arnies to bring us down.

Now, I know whole lot of "true conservatives" will start the "one term Bush" crap because he's spending this money.

Let's put this on perspective...

How much did 9/11 cost us?

What price those American lives lost?

Would you mind spending that much money to reconstruct the US after a few more 9/11's and twenty years of suicide bombers?

I say take the war to their soil, I don't care what that may cost, it will be an easier cost to shoulder than the alternative.

"...but this 87 billion to rebuild two nations for 50 million islamics?"

The cost of 9/11 to New York City alone is over $83 billion...and rising. I can't find the total economic impact to the nation. We are paying to rent a battlefield if that makes it any easier on you.

"Iraq he says, has 60 thousand border guards, protecting them against Iran...Where's our border guards for staying the daily flow of 10 thousands of illegals on our southern borders?"

Two things, that's insulting to our border guards who are out there every night doing their jobs. If you must, call for more of them, but don't ignore their efforts. While I recognize the issues surrounding illegal immigration, they are far from being anywhere near the same as the situation over there.

"...and why would or should WE cut OUR programs?"

Well, so that people woudn't be coming here illegally to abuse them just like the native-born abuse them?
