Bush was trying to draw a line in people's minds between civilization and barbaric anarchy that oppresses mankind wherever it is found. This is central; too few people understand the stakes are as high as they are.

The chance to avert a new World War is before us. The world should, but sadly avoids, thanking G-d that America saw this distinction when it did. Yet America will prevail, this play is far from the final act.

Yes... the very difference between Republicans and Democrats here... Dems look inward to their own lust for power, money and, ahemmm... "personal gratification" LOL Republicans look across the land and overseas, realizing our well-being is intertwined with that of our neighbors across the globe... and then make this world safer for all peace-loving people :-)

Sounds sappy... but that's the way I saw Reagan do it ;-)
