Thanks for the ping Rags. Wonderful story here.

Thanks for the post. We need to hear much more of this from the men and women who have seen it all first hand. I am getting really tired of all the doom and gloom from the media.

I spent 5 days in Arcata this summer. The town in stuck in the 60's, from everything I can see. 4th of July celebration brought out more old hippies than I'd seen in years. And the liberal attitudes from everything from politics to drugs seem very prevalent from the campus and town .
I was very surprised to see this piece from a N.Calif paper. Maybe a few people actually read it.

Ah, this story would have been so much better if it had been filtered through Reuters--only kidding. Thank you so much for the ping. Very, very interesting to read the first hand account. How proud that Marine must be to have been part of setting up a successful security force for the hospital! That man and his fellow Marines changed/saved lives. This is what America and being American is all about. I'm so proud of our military.

"(The heat) is frustrating, exhausting, but, you know, you're a Marine. You're trained to do a job. Regardless of the conditions, you get it done."These people are tough. America is very proud of you Pfc. Cristea. Thanks for the two good accounts of war/victory/rebuilding.

The mainstream media and the 'Rat Party are trying their best to sabotage the US war effort in Iraq. A vote for a 'Rat is a vote for Islamofascism.

I'm so proud of our Marines and all our men and women in our Military! Off to email.
