You mean the history books all have it wrong and the federal troops manning Ft. Sumter actually opened fire on the city of Charleston first?

I wasn't aware of that! < /sarcasm >

Yes, I tried to convince a 5th grade teacher once that my opponent began the fight by scraping me visciously across my knuckles with his chin.

Didn't work then either.

In order for your actions to be justified, does the armed invader have to kill your family before you can defend them? Just wondering.

Do a search on nolu chan's posts to the other thread you started on the ACW and "Neoconfederates"; he has recently been beavering away on the subject of the confrontation over Fort Sumter and Fort Pickens, bringing historical material and posting it back and forth to rustbucket, 4ConservativeJustices, and other posters. Go have a read and catch up on your own thread a little bit, and then tell us what you think.

Yes, this is a homework assignment. The good news is, if you accept it and go take a look, you'll know a lot more when you're done.

the WBTS was started in MO & KS by the damnyankees in 1855-56, when the redlegs, jayhawkers & other damnyankee CRIMINAL GANGS crossed the KS/MO border & began attacking peaceful & generally UNarmed civilans in MO.(criminals PREFER unarmed victims!)

the attack on Ft Sumpter was a convienient date for the damnyankees to admit that we southrons had been at war with the damnyankees for at least 5 years.
