Morning Calpernia! I am so glad that you have not given up on your efforts to subjugate your computer! ;) Infact, I was going to also suggest going to TuCows to see if they had a software fix... but the stuff your friend sent you sounds like it will do the trick. Unfortunately for me, my entire zip of FR research, articles, and art over 1 1/2 years seems to be DOA :( ...(Saying to self: back ups, back ups; back ups...)

Miss Aqua, thanks for the ping to the stained glass window and the hymn it plays...a nice way to round out my morning.
Well...another fine Sabbath Day we've gotten ourselves into...)
Regards to all the Finest... the beautiful pics and thoughts and words and deeds make for a pretty good breakfast.
Wishing everyone a safe and lucky day...

Sitting here reading a magazine article on the
benefits of coffee!
Listen to this - -
Statistics show 79% of us have at least one cup of java a day. And breakthrough research shows that a cup or two a day - or even more - can be great for your health!
(LadyX interjects a vociferous HOORAY!!!)
"Coffee contains many beneficial compounds," says Peter R.Martin, M.D., of the Institute for coffee Studies at Vanderbilt University. "And often, the more you drink, the better off you may be." So enjoy a second or third cup, and you could:
Lose more weight with less effort
Studies show that sipping coffee 30 minutes before a meal can cut your appetite by 35% and boost your metabolism by 5% - enough to help you lose 15 pounds every year without countig calories.
(if I drink 8 cups a day, will I become The Thin Woman and reduce my grocery bill at the same time??!!)
skipping to the last part:
Relieve asthma and other chronic illnesses
The EPA reports that coffee drinkers have 29% fewer asthma criss, and research suggests the caffeine in one cup of coffee can improve lung function up to four hours.
"Cafeine relaxes and opens the airways, making it easier to breathe," explains Dr. Martin. "Plus it reduces the inflammation that often triggers the attacks."
LadyX is now GUILT-FREE, and requests The Mayor and MeeknMing and GailA to keep on bringin' it on for us!!

Thank goodness.I am a hopeless coffee lover who had to "try out" a no coffee regime and was not happy. It wasn't the problem and I'm back to enjoying the java.I have not become thinner or richer as a result of drinking 8 cups a day,sad to say!

For as much coffee as I drink I should be in great shape and skinny!
I must admit that I weigh less now than I did when I joined the Army.

"I must admit that I weigh less now than I did when I joined the Army." Ha!!
You and I now can be the Poster Man and Woman for Coffee Drinkers Campaign that Calpernia and MEG33 can initiate on our behalf.
In Basic Training in the Marine Corps, I weighed 118 pounds without varying an ounce.
I now weigh 113-117.
We can attribute it to The Finest Coffee Cafe in the World we have right here!

I think it's just a heads up that a disruptor needs zotting or when a zot thread lasts and gets really creative.

Hi there!Been busy filling up humming bird feeders between posts. They are starting the migration. Some years it is hard to keep up.They have favorites and 20 can try to feed at one feeder meant for 4.Some spend as much time guarding territory as they do feeding.
