I really do like this board but when this topic comes up I feel very upset all the time.

I know people who are attacted to the same sex. They are great people who have so much good for their community. I know people like Donald D'hanene, who had the guts to publish his life's true story over the brutal sexual assualts he had to endure as a child, the cover ups by his church (Not the RCs) and the court system that failed him.

His couragous story has helped thousands of survivors of child abuse.

I could go on with others.

When I read this board and the slam a lot of posters give to homosexuals all because of their lifestyle, well I'm just not impressed.

I could easily slam the leadership of many religious organizations just as badly if I wanted but I don't. I remember very well how women were treated by this world and how they still are treated in certain countries and by certain groups. Certain posters on this board remind me of those who were against a women's right to vote in the USA and Canada earlier last century.

To me the issue is pretty simple - everyone has the right to a free conscience/religion and no one, if you truly believe in freedom, has the right to be slaming other people especially when it comes to race, sex, creed, sexual orientation and physical disabilities.

If you want your Christian religions to operate freely in this country then, all must also tolerate other forms of religions and other forms of free conscience as long as they are not a serious risk to the health and safety of the public.

You seem to be saying that I must neither have an opinion on the subject nor ever give voice to it. Strange idea of freedom you have up there.

And I am under no obligation to "tolerate" anything I find intolerable.

I find identity politics intolerable, and the radical homosexual movement is the very definition of that.
