You are right!

Matthews throws in some red meat for the right, to create the illusion that he is not partisan. When the chips are on the line, he is nothing but a shill for the leftists.!!!

Here's my thought on Chris Matthews:

I think he's basically a good guy at heart (hang with me here) but is not very bright when it comes down to it. In addition, for some reason he is predisposed to side with dem talking points big time. He will listen and be swayed by Republican or conservative points, but it doesn't "stick" because although he'll see the logic in these points, he can be talked out of it by the dems.

He really went overboard on the uranium story. I think whoever he listens to and really respects got to him very persuasively on that topic.

And I will say my impression is his wife (he calls her Kathleen my Queen) is a huge lefty influence. During impeachment he would be heading one way on one day, only to exhibit a contrary attitude the next day or so. He made references to Kathleen being a huge clinton fan.

He made a reference to her yesterday or the day before being a "modern woman" meaning she demands equality (I'll just bet----"Toe the line, Chrissy") and he said this when speaking of how middle America would have trouble accepting hillary because she's a "strong woman" (but don't disagree with her or you're against strong women).

Bottom line: I think I hold out hope for him one day seeing the light because I perceive him to be basically good, but tragically susceptible to lefty talking points. Tragic, not because it is beyond his control to reject these misguided and often evil notions, but tragic because it is in his control.

Don't know if that makes sense, but that's my take.
