I hope other states refuse to accept our CDLs. I hope airlines refuse to accept them, as well. (Imagine millions of infuriated Californians scrambling to apply for passports just so they can fly to another state!) I hope Tancredo's idea gets implemented, too. I say, bring it on!!! Let Davis rue the day he ever signed this thing. Right now he's basking in the love from the less than 15% of California voters who adore him right now. Let him soon feel the hate and the fury of millions of outraged, inconvenienced Americans.

You both seem to be thinking on the same lines. "Americans in CA. Americans across the country. I think everyone is starting to realize the huge problems this is going to cause. How are CA truckers supposed to do their job?

Gray Davis will be recalled. There simply isn't enough time for every illegal to bum rush the DMV for their new license and "voting priveleges". KellynLA replied to me that tomorrow there will be a referendum to block this. Until the referendum is voted on, Davis' bill can't be enacted. Kelly did a better job of putting it, but it gives us hope.

Obviously Davis can and will go lower and lower before he gets recalled. I want to know if anything can be done to him legally for the mess he's caused? Maybe a mandatory 72 hr mental health evaluation, because he has several screws loose.

I am looking forward to some polls and the debate on Tuesday...After the Simon withdrawal, the Busty racist scandal and 8 billion dollar hike promise and Mac's sterling perfomance in the debate his polls numbers should be rising very nicely

"How are CA truckers supposed to do their job?"

Funny you should ask. Others have pointed out that delivery drivers will now almost exclusively become Illegals. I have a good friend who is a senior teamster driver at UPS. He has said for years UPS has wanted just this. Cheap disposable drivers. So Illegals wont just be delivering pizzas with their new bogus CA drivers licenses.

Clearly there is NO political will in either main party to do anything about this invasion. That's because a lot of lobbying money from those who benefit from these "off the books" workers has been passed to the pimps we call politicians.

It will take one of two things to actually get the rotten elected SOB's to do something: 1)a dirty nuke set off in the heart of Los Angeles traced to a Mexican border smuggling operation, or 2)an epidemic of a virulent disease that has about a 50% mortality rate infecting Los Angeles County which can be traced to illegals.

More grand standing from the Columbine Congressman that flip flopped on gun control and broke his term limit promise.

Does he do anything for his State?

McClintock came off pretty darn good in the debate. Arnold made a big mistake not attending.

McClintock has the integrity to loudly and publicly denounce this bill, but what will Arnold do? I am beginning to think that Arnold has been wetting his finger and pointing it to see which way the wind blows. Better to feel the heat and stick to principles.

Speaking of principles, someone should ask Arianna how she feels about millions more cars on the road when this passes? Hahahaa! "Dahlink, it's ok because they can't afford SUV's"!

Which reminds me. Remember the warning about all those UPS uniforms up for sale on Ebay? Just imagine how easy it would be for Abdullah/Jaime to make a detour on his delivery route to drop off a package of his own?

Sigh...it's getting harder and harder to boycott businesses that work against this country.

How about introducing a bill that actually combats illegal immigration?

I'd rather see that. But the talk of other states disallowing CA DLs as acceptable ID needs to become more than rumor.

I hear you. One would think that the events in California ref. illegal drivers licenses would be so preposterous that any such attempt to pass such a law would be unimaginable. However, in light of recent "court" rulings, including the endorsement of racial preference by the SCOTUS, anything is possible, legal precedence and the US Constitution be damned.

Anything at all is possible these days. I've been participating on the Terri Schiavo threads this last week. Some judges think they're God. Court mandated slow starvation for a concious woman who breathes on her own, and maintains her own blood pressure, but relies on a feeding tube, which will be granted on Sept 11th. Big court battle about yanking the feeding tube. CDL's for illegals ain't nothing in the general scheme of things. Well it is to us, but you know what I mean.

Americans need to find a way to do major housecleaning in this country, and do it now. Instead of us being frightened of politicians, maybe they should be scared of getting on our bad side?

"...maybe they should worry about getting on our bad side.."
is the only answer, short of armed revolution, in my opinion. It used to be shameful to be accused of political pandering but not anymore.

Fine, California will keep the federal excise taxes related to highway funds. Grandstanding SOB just trying to get his hands on the highway money for Arizona. This is a California problem and we don't need no stinking piling on by our so called neighbors.

Colorado has legislation that will no longer accept CA drivers license as a valid proof of identification.

I keep hearing that but haven't seen a source. Got source? Notice that you don't say California drivers will be arrested if caught driving on a CA license. Not accepting the license as proof of citizenship is understandable in light of recent events. Arresting people was BS from the git.

I would expect all Republicans to be just as solid as Tancredo

As in the gun control flip flop or broken term limit promise?

Go Grandstander Go
