and that is why the California ID will no longer be valid elsewhere...in a quick 15' ceremony Davis has now made my California legal citizenship worthless in other states that will now not recognize it...does that mean I have to bring my passport to Vegas?

I wonder if the border stations will continue to recognize the California licenses? What happens now if you go down to Tijuana or Baja? I think the most they'll still ask for is the drivers license --- it's sure going to make entering the USA much much easier for everyone who stops in Mexico first to obtain their fake papers. I imagine already they're selling California licenses on most border city streets. Complete with picture.
