But the Mississippi senator's former Democratic rival will beat him to the bookstore.

All I want to know is,who's going to sell fewer books, Mr. Lott (aka the eunuch) or Mr. Dashole (who stands on stools at press conferences)?

Trent does have one advantage over Tommy.
He is tall enough that he doesn't have to jump up to kiss anybody's behind.

Let's name Daschle's book for him.....

"Pink Tie Or Die....."

"730 Days Of Being Saddenned"

"Four Feet Nothin"

"Can't We All Just Get Along My Way?"

"Pulp Muffler"

"School Lunch Cuts Classify This Book As A Vegetable, and other horrible tales of a republican juggernaut"

Lott had a relatively secure seat from MS and could have been a force of strength and moral character. Yet, he seemed unwilling to offend liberals who might organize against him. Therefore, his career has been undistinguished in my opinion. The same for Orrin G. Hatch.

In his book, Dr. Frist can explain why he supported many Democrats prior to 1994, when he became Republican to run for the Senate.

Thanks for the ping!

So, he's writing a 'tell all' book?
I don't think he has the testicular fortitude to tell the real story.

Bwaa-hahahhaa. That is true. I think the guy has a split personality. He killed himself over his Strom Thurmond remarks (typical political hyperbole, I thought). If he meant a fraction of that, how could he have been so good at out-Doling Dole in compromising with the Demon_rats? I really wonder.

We can't get them to release the Reagan papers. Quit voting for these people please; we will win in the long run.

I don't know that I'd call it a "must-read". Lott refused to do his job in working to convict Clinton, and frankly that told me all I needed to know.

"I still think that Lott was removed as "majority leader" for all the wrong reasons. He was ineffective, but the Thurmond flap was ridiculous. The GOP fell right into the Democrat trap, as they do many, many times."

It was worth the repeat.

Lott was unproductive but the DumPubs started something horrendous by bowing to the wrong gallery which will bite them in the rear long term and mess them around for a good while.

Frist has proven about as incapable or “bound down” so we have gained almost nothing having lost a great deal in priciple.
