NEW YORK (AP) -- Commentator Rush Limbaugh made his ESPN debut at a fitting location -- Washington, D.C.
Actually, it was Landover, Md., in the parking lot of FedEx Field but it was still familiar territory for the right-wing radio host best known as the host of the politically focused Rush Limbaugh Show, which is syndicated in more than 650 markets worldwide.

Rush had a good debut and added a spark into a usually predictable football roundhouse debate. I liked it. Go Rush!!

Rush did great. And the others loved it too, you can tell. Tom Jackson was having fun and you could see it. He loves to talk and is very intelligent.
As to the game, the Jets played well but blew turnover opportunities. I think Testeverde was okay. He got some good pass protection but the line needs to get those holes opened up for Martin.
I think the fact the game was only won by Washington in the last 8 seconds with a field goal shows that the Jets can compete. Most of the pre-game comments were saying Vinny had to have a 300 yard game to be "successful" and win.
Rush will help ESPN's ratings. I follow my own team, the Titans, but I just had to watch this game. One: to see Rush and see how he did. Two: it was the opening game of the season and I am ready for some football!

I actually think that the Titans have a good chance to get to the Super Bowl. They are one of four teams to get to the Super Bowl and a League Championship in the last 4 years and Steve McNair is a great leader on the field.
I am such a homer that I think the Cheifs will do well and have an outside chance this year.

I actually think that the Titans have a good chance to get to the Super Bowl. I absolutely agree. They came a yard short of winning it three years ago and since then have been focusing every thought and every muscle on getting back there and winning it.

The writer of this story already gave away his/her/its bias.

The Cheifs look good. I think the Titans problem is the offensive line. Eddie isn't getting the yards he once did with Bruce Matthews (the old man) blocking. And we lost our kicker, but he should be easy enough to replace.
Here's a concept: Don't rely on your kicker to win games!
Steve McNair is amazing, but we need more running game.
The Titan defense, on the other hand, was pretty good against Oakland.

That was a good game and don't let anyone tell you that your WR was going to come out of bounds. It was obvious he was pushed out. The Titans D looked great until they ran that soft prevent late in the game.
The Chiefs looked very good, but we have to remember it was only the Chargers. The biggest improvement is the defense and we are not going to have situatiosn where we score over 30 points and lose the game, like we did 4 times last year.

Okay, I won't let anyone tell me the WR would have come down out of bounds...since I believe he would have myself and it was a bad call! :-)
But then again, the entire game was horribly called by the refs.
