I've heard it discussed on previous threads that the typical Palestinian bomb-belt (or vest) has a unique blast characteristic. The damage from the explosion is lateral and the force is vertical, often sending the
homicide bomber's head straight up into the air.
If this homicide bomber was using a similar device, then we shouldn't have much of a problem at all obtaining forensic evidence. Of course, there will still be problems determining who the head belonged to...

I like the loss ratio of 1:0. If the Islamawhackos pass out Purple Hearts all f'ing day long, while heading off to 72 virginville, it works for me.

At least 67 U.S. soldiers have been killed in action since ... Must of been just a couple of weeks ago, when about a KIA per day was the rule, and Reuters could increment the counter for each day's story. Now that the KIA are becoming more scarce, and the average might be .25 per day, I note how the Reuter's story just repeats the same number. This line in the report is clearly not news. Its only their for its anti-Bush value.

Reuters, it figures, only they would call a homicide bomb jihadist a civilian!

Have we had any deaths there in a week? I know that the number of deaths per day went from about 1 per day, to 1 per two or three days.
One of the embedded Fox guys today said that steadily it's getting safer, and that U.S. compounds scarcely come under fire at all, but that they are still alert on the roads and in the cities.

Did you see the picture about a year ago where the Israelis were cleaning up after a bombing and you could see the camel humpers head sitting on the ground in almost perfect condition?
Too cool.

It sure depends on where in Iraq a soldier is at; my son would certainly not agree "that U.S. compounds scarcely come under fire at all."

Over 100 hours since last US KIA, let's pray for a safe day for our sons (and daughters). Sun is up in Iraq.

"It sure depends on where in Iraq a soldier is at; my son would certainly not agree "that U.S. compounds scarcely come under fire at all."" I'd like to see a map with a red dot for every hostile-fire casualty, just to see the pattern ( what % is 'in the Triangle?")

Straight out of Arafat 101. No"body" graduates! No diplomas. - Nice technique - "No Man, No Problem" quote was attributed to Stalin or somebody. Sucide bombers don't have any political clout for doing yomen work in the trenches or have any favors to ask for supporting the cause!

Sometimes they like to include accidents with this number to make it read "better." There have been more fatalities due to accidents then to combat.
