Gov. Gray Davis has vowed to sign both bills, AB 205 and SB 60, which targeted two of the state's most contentious social issues and sharply divided lawmakers along party lines, with most Democrats supporting the proposals and most Republicans opposed.

Every day 22 million motorists take to the highways, and every day 10 percent of them are unlicensed, untested and uninsured," Cedillo said.

So what? Think having a driver's license is going to induce them to get insurance? Plenty of tested licensed drivers have no insurance and can't drive worth a damn. This is about pandering to illegal immigrants, pure and simple. And why not? The Rats let them vote and they want them to vote for what's his name.

It's nice to know that Davis is still in his bunker, making decisions that will continue to cost and destroy for decades to come. Stupid Californian legislators could be renamed the "Davis Youth" and receive special letter openers and uniforms with the seal of the great new empire Meximorrah.

Many of the reps in VT that voted for their version of this were voted out in next election.
