Today, the rationale for carrying a gun in .380 is getting weaker, as manufacturers are coming up with some truly tiny semiautos in 9mm, such as the Kahr PM9 or the Taurus Millenium. Or, if you prefer .45 acp, my personal "truly tiny" favorite for concealed carry from Kimber:
