Well, Miguel Estrada bent over, too. HE QUIT on Bush and Frist. Quite frankly, I have lost some of the respect I had for him over his call.

He's gotta get some of the blame for this, too. He LET Neas, Leahy, and Schumer roll him over. Had he stuck it out, had he taken HIS case to the American people, we might have put more heat on `em and switched a couple of votes.

There's plenty of blame to go around.

Remember that when Owen backs out. And the next one. And the next one.

You keep wanting to blame the man for getting punked. But no blame for the ones that set this up in the first damn place with a half-assed plan that was piss-poor in planning and execution.

Frist doesn't even have the wherewithal to admit that he screwed up and to move on to "plan B" -- of course that's assuming that he even had that much plannnig sense to begin with.

Well, now the birds have come home to roost. The GOP has screwed themselves, and, like you, are going to look to try to blame Estrada for not taking it up the butt long enough.

Take off the blinders. You are the one that's always concerned with conciliatory gestures to the Hispanic community. This won't win the Administration any brownie points. Nope. Not one damn bit.

Not only that, I'll lay you even odds that Kennedy, Schumer, Leahy, Hillary!™ and Daschle (not to mention the Democratic Candi-smurfs) will be on the evening news touting their victory over the "extremist" nominee that the Bush Administration tried to "force on the American people."

And you want to blame Estrada for THAT? Nope. The GOP can't back out of this one. Only place to look for blame is the closest mirror.

Yeah, he's just been waiting two and a half years with his life on hold. He should have been willing to wait the rest of his life, like conservatives have waited for the GOP to do something.
