When you think you've seen it all (illegals forming unions to protect their rights; being granted drivers licenses, etc., etc.), now we read where ILLEGALS are in our Court of Law, suing us!

I hear they have pleanty of room for students in Mexican universities.

In a related story, inmates are suing prisons for discriminating against them purely on the basis of their criminal activities.

Thanks for the ping. This is despicable! This "empowerment of illegals" is really heating up lately (so is my blood pressure)!

A while back several Mexicans filed a lawsuit against us because some of their illegal alien relatives died while crossing the desert. Reportedly their point was that the US did not provide water and snacks to facilitate their sneaking into this country. This is not a joke. I haven't heard anything more about it. I presume it was tossed out.

Yikes you just resurrected a horrible memory. I'd like to believe it was tossed out of the courts but with the current trend, it could be it hasn't gotten on the court docket yet.
BTW, I caught the tail end of our local news saying NYC Mayor Bloomberg is being called a racist by the Latino community (42% voted for him) after he tightened immigration laws as a result of 9/11. His poll numbers are tanking so he's decided to revisit and possibly rescind the laws enacted. Doesn't seem to matter is there is a "D" or "R" after their names these days.

This is like something out of the Twilight Zone. Criminals suing for special perks!I dunno what to do about the children that the illegals bring here. I suppose one suggestion would be for them to blame their dingbat parents if they can't get into college. And, yes, I'm being serious.

and they will probably win the case, wouldn't want to "offend" anyone.

There are many such cases. They reminded me of a horrible case roughly ten years ago in the DC area where the man while working as a painter killed and raped two women, his boss, and the girls' father (a dentist).

Shame on you. How ridiculous. Not just you, mind. I have yet to see a respectable post among these, and I read to the bottom of the page.
People born in other countries have the same rights to education as those born in the United States of America. Immigrants pay both federal and state taxes through wage reductions and sales, and at the end of the year pay more then us because they can't apply to get a return. They pay for their children's education, and work at jobs, in conditions, and for wages that no legal American would.
Why do we begrudge them what they pay for, and would be unable to gain in their native country? Do you think you are better than them, that by the random virtue of being born in this country you deserve rights they do not?
OF COURSE they cannot appear in court in front of the INS. They deserve justice and will be unable to get it if they are sent back to their own country.
A last thought
Do we deny the children of criminals (even murderers) basic needs or education? No, even people in some jails can get into college for free. And we certainly do not punish their children!

And in other news, a rapist sued a potential victim in federal court today seeking an injunction against the alleged victim from carrying her firearm for protection. The rapist claimed that the "equal protection clause provides him safe harbor from violent defense by victims. He claims victims using firearms is an unfair advantage and denies him his rights to superior strength.

Make them appear in court and then arrets them for illegal entry.

I am not referring to law-abiding, naturalized citizens who received their citizenship legally without special perks, considerations, and/or the use of translators.
As for illegal aliens, they are all criminals. They have demonstrated their contempt for our laws and willingness to break them if it is to their benefit. And sometimes just for the fun of it. We do NOT need more criminals. We have enough of our own. In fact, we have too many people.
The flood of immigration to this country poses threats on various levels: economic, educational (taking slots in hard to get colleges from us, for example), health, welfare, crime, environment, etc.
The greatest threat to this country comes from within, from the infiltration by both select immigrants and illegal aliens. They have formed the Russian Mafia, the MS-13, and other nationwide networks of gangs. They commit horrendous crimes. We need our military far more on our borders, than in Iraq or some other foreign country.
By tolerating illegal aliens we send the message, among others, that laws need not to be obeyed, that we can pick and chose which ones to obey.

Illegal immigrants should not be permitted to file suit OR to attend colleges and universities.

I agree. They should not even be in this country. It is an outrage that they should be allowed to file lawsuits, get into college, be provided with free medical care (for which you and I have to pay, not those who provide it for them).
