I don't know who Kyra Sedgewick is, but
"Secondhand Lions" looks like it is going to be a good movie.

Personally I wouldn't go to any of these movies anyway, but I do have a (minor) problem with this sort of boycott. That is, in ANY movie, ANY product, ANY company or whatever you can find people with similar anti-american views. Or pro- abortionists, or socialists, or take your pick of dozens of positions I disagree with.
Admittedly the idea here is to take a swipe at the high profile folks, but let's say there's a movie - say a Heston or Gibson flick - where the support staff holds views totally opposite to mine, and they are very vocal about it. Should I boycott that as well?
Or say the production company is run by a high profile, vocal person with opposite views, but the movie stars are on my side. Would I boycott that to send a message to the company or go to see it to support the actor?
Just something that's been bothering me recently. As far as I'm concerned if someone wants to boycott these films I say go for it!

Wouldn't be easier to list movies not to boycott, if any.

I would join the boycott of Hollywood leftists, except then I'd be stuck in a room listening to nothing but Britney Spears the rest of my life....

I want to see Once Upon a Time in Mexico. I hear the key grip is totally pro-GOP, so that should cancel out Johnny Depp.

Don't watch it. Johnny Depp doesn't deserve your hard earned cash. We boycott a lot of movies like this and Hollywood will start to listen when it really begins to hurt them hard - in their pocketbooks. Which is the only language Tinseltown really appreciates. Average Americans are sick and tired of overpaid actors bashing this country when they're abroad. Its time we put a stop to it!

I havent gone to the movies in twenty years and I refuse to rent the trash.
Entertainers as well as so called professional atheletes are spoiled brats and set bad examples for our children who try and emulate them and I refuse to spend my money on such scum.

I agree with you. I only boycott those whom I feel have done something or said something that offends or angers me greatly. :-}

Yes there are a handful of overpaid, overbearing idiots in sports, but most athletes are conservative. Where else do you hear someone on television thanking God for what they have?

I don't know who Kyra Sedgewick is...Cute, squinty eyes, married to Kevin Bacon. I don't like her much as an actress anyway. I'm surprised she's being billed as a "star" in this film.

I havent gone to the movies in twenty years and I refuse to rent the trash.Got you beat by three years. Last movie I went to, was in May 1980. Just to make my wife happy the week before we got married. She still goes with the daughter, but I refuse to watch the filth and garbage. Yes, I am still married to the same woman.

Of course I'm going to boycott the Human Stain!
Who'd go to a movie about Clinton?
To: jonalvy44
The Human Stain
Release Date: September 26, 2003 (NY, LA)
Studio: Miramax Films
Starring: Ed Harris Sounds like an ideal venue for Bill Clinton to get a cameo appearance.
