Amen to that. This story has gotten a lot of mileage in e-mail and here at FR. It was posted on the USO Canteen FReeper Style twice, once by a military mom and once by a military sister. It has gotten the same wonderful response every time I've seen it.

The group in Maine who is meeting every military flight to come through is led by a FReeper, and I wish I could remember her FR name but it escapes me. This is a perfect example of how the attitudes toward our military have changed in a generation. It's possible we're beginning to win some battles in the culture war.
