Oh, yes that's right, blame government regulations as the reasons why the US has such an unfavorable business climate.

Yes, those child labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and anti-dumping regulations are soooo un-favorable to the business.

I can point out that most of all the regulations on the books targeting corporations are due to some degree of corporate malfiance, these laws and regulations are on the books in most circumstances because some putz at xyzCorp (which is most likely out of business now) decided to skirt their responsibilities to their comunity, their employers and their share holders.

I will agree that there are pleanty of egregous regulations out there and fines for small matters that are simply trivial, and those should be removed. But many of the regulations on the books today are not the fault of anyone but previous businesses.

Maybe we should go back to the times before there were such regulations so we can just discuss how many children at the textile mills were sacrificied to the machinery today instead.
