The Israeli government, which granted Pollard citizenship, repeatedly has pressed for his release. So they can tell the next would-be traitor they recruit not to worry, the Israeli government will go to bat for them. For that reason alone, Pollard needs to rot in jail.
Agree. He is an American citizen who sold out his country. He should have been executed.
