Snops.com says this story is a hoax. They say it's a rumor started by Michael Moore to hurt the President. I think I believe snopes over some UK newspaper. Here's the link:

Just read Snopes again. Snopes is saying that there were flights that were exempted from the travel ban in country then, they were allowed to go overseas.

I am not sure what to make of this. On September 13th, while all domestic air was cancelled, they allowed private flights within the US for Bin Laden family members, I guess to rendezvous for a group flight to S.A.

No they weren't allowed to leave the country, but unlike everybody else in the country, they were allowed to fly.

Although bin Laden family members were ferried from various cities in the USA to an east coast departure point by the FBI via automobile and airplane (the latter even though the general ban on air travel was still in effect)

Clearly bin Laden family members were indeed allowed to leave the U.S., with government approval and assistance, shortly after the September 11 attacks (an event which was reported in major newspapers within days of its occurrence), but issues such as whether the decision to let them leave was appropriate are subjective political issues outside the scope of this page.


Did you read the botton of the page you linked.....the snopes site does NOT refer to the article in this thread.
Find me a 2001,2002 Article that states "White house offical confirms" and "during flight restrictions" That is why these new revelations are different and have not yet been covered.
