The folks you are poking fun of are principled, or at least believe that of themselves. If you want them on your side, poking fun of them is counterproductive.

Heheheh. Agree that folks who proclaim to operate from principle are imperfect too.

My bigger point was that poking fun, ridicule, etc. among generally like-minded people is counterproductive. Note that I applaud Coulter's ridicule of liberals, and that I think ridicule is a fair tool.

I am advocating that ALL conservative-minded people refrain from ridicule, and instead put energy into expressing why their point should be adopted.

None of us will get everything we want on this earth, and all of us can get everything that God promised.
