CA: Arianna Huffington: "A crisis in democracy" (She Challenges Ward Connerly to a debate)

Let me end by saying a word about how appropriate it is that we gather here today, one day shy of 40 years since Martin Luther King led the march on Washington. Unfortunately, here in California, some still haven't taken Dr. King's message to heart.

Those who put forth discriminatory measures like Proposition 54 need to be told loud and clear, in no uncertain terms, that discrimination in any form, no matter how disguised, has no place in California. We're better than that.

From this immigrant's mouth to your ears, let there be no mistake:

Proposition 54 is bad for health care, bad for education, bad for public policy.

And if Ward Connerly is so convinced of the virtue of Prop 54, then I challenge him to a debate on the issue -- any time, any place -- so I can lay out all the evidence that his proposition is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to allow racial discrimination without leaving a paper trail.

yeah. Me too. I met her father-inlaw at an event years ago. Very, very nice, smart man. He thought the world of her. I wonder what he thinks of her now...

This woman, if she really is one, is not fit to shine Ward's shoes. They don't make them any Creepier than her. Let's hope they broke the mold after they made her.

Arianna said she'd be a good givernor because "as a mother", she understands what children need. She either believes this, in which case, she's an idiot; or she doesn't, in which case, she's being disingenuous at best.

Arianna's a whore and Ward Connerly should steer clear of her.

I agree with your suggestion that Ward Connerly steer clear of "that" woman.

But I'm so shocked that Arianna, in all her vast left wing knowledge, would platform off of being a "good mother.. and understanding what children need". First off, I heard she didn't even ask her children, or discuss with them about her "running for office". Her kids are old enough to discuss this with and to get their input, and respect their input (not to be dictated to by kids -- not what I mean here).

Secondarily -- most all child abuse is delivered at the hands of those around them the most -- females and mothers. (not men, who usually have limited access). Hmm.. analyzing her assertion. Alia translation: I, Arianna, am going to make the mommy party (Dems) eat their carrots, or I'm going to put them on a time out. Egads.. Hillary as Nurse Rached, and Arianna as Mommy Dearest? Hints of newer movies to be released in the style of Freddie Krueger?

Her assertion is simply NOT to be believed!!!
