Its Time to Cast a Worried Eye Toward Yellowstone
YOWUSA ^ | 8/22/03 | Larry Park & Marshall Masters

Posted on 09/02/2003 8:36:03 PM PDT by Dixielander

Yesterday afternoon, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred just 9 miles southeast of the south entrance to Yellowstone National Park. According to the USGS, “It is unlikely that there is a connection or triggering mechanism of the earthquake with the increased hydrothermal activity at Norris Geyser Basin, which is about 35 miles from the epicenter or with hydrothermal features in Yellowstone Lake that have received recent publicity.” However, given the shallow depth of this quake, the volcanism model developed by Larry Park has suddenly lurched us a huge step towards a worst-case eruption event.

Simply put, anyone living within 600 miles of Yellowstone could be sitting in a modern day Pompeii. In addition, for those living outside this area and West of the Mississippi river, there could be grievous consequences as well because systemic processes are now building beneath Yellowstone, that paint a very clear picture of a major eruption event in its early stages

In this article, Larry Park will present the science behind his warning. However, as the publisher of YOWUSA.COM, I wish to put some context to all this in layman’s terms as now as I personally feel the time has come for everyone living west of the Mississippi to become aware and to begin making a calm and deliberate assessment of the facts. This especially applies to those presently living within 600 miles of Yellowstone. However, what does the USGS say?

Its Time to Cast a Worried Eye Toward Yellowstone

And it's all Bush's fault (no pun intended).

"When they ran out of those, they switched to bandanas. It worked fine for them. No need to spend a lot of money when a little will do just fine."

911 had me stocking up on different things. One of those things was a couple of boxes of medical face masks....looks i'll be holding on to them.

WOW! This is cool stuff. Had no idea of the dormant volcano in Yellowstone. If pressure were building, wouldn't it also affect and increase the frequency of geyser eruptions?

It wouldn't be statements like this that lead you to that conclusion, would it?

Well, that one works. I was thinking more along the lines of the headline on their home page:

Are English Crop Circles Being Covertly Suppressed?

Well, of course they are. They're produced by the nefarious denizens of Planet X (which has a prominent mention on the page to which this article is linked....)

Anybody got any thoughts on how an event like this could relate to bible prophecy and Revelations?

"The last known Caldera eruption happend approximately 74k years ago at Toba... its eruption released enough sulfer into the atmosphere, that it is believed to have caused a 5 degree C climate change on the earth, which equates to roughly a 15 degree fairenheight difference in summer in northern latitudes. It is believed to be the cause of the populations bottleneck that nearly brought the human race to extinction, believed to decline the worldwide population of humans to only a few thouasand to ten thousand individuals, that happened around the same period of time...."

It has already begun to cause waves of bad spelling and dubious grammar...

Thank you so much, super shopper. The respirators are identical. Now, since you're so good, any ideas where I can get a reasonable price on the video "Hopscotch" with Walter Mattheu(sp) and Glenda Jackson. Every where I've looked it has been overpriced.

No offense, but this is not BS at all.

No offense, but Art Bell/Coast to Coast/George Noory isn't pure BS either.

Don't pan them out of hand.

Think of it like a gold mine. Tons of ore, ounces of pure gold...

"Think of it like a gold mine. Tons of ore, ounces of pure gold..

Excellent analogy. Coast to Coast A.M. has scooped mainstream media several times. Also James Hoagland (Enterprisemission.com)blew the whistle on NASA months ago. Through CTC I was introduced to the writings of British journalist Gordon Thomas from whom I learned about the theft of the Promis software, Mossad and much more. Now when the featured guests talk about taking recorders to graveyards to pick up the voices of the dead, they lose me. I guess those types constitute the tons of ore that one has to plow through to get at the gold.

It's available on Ebay for $9.99

Auction ends Sept 4, better hurry.

(I've gotten very good at google searches -- perhaps I should rent myself out)

That's a heck of a lot bigger than 600 miles!

Yeah, it looks more like a 1000x2000 mile circle....What gives?

I dislike the title. Worry does nothing but cause ulcers.

It is time to be prepared. Those who were Boy Scouts are always 'Prepared'.

Now, what I find most interesting is that NO ONE HAS CAUGHT ON as to the likely reason YELLOWSTONE CALDERA is bulging OUTWARD like the swelling of the tides!

Maybe MARS being the closest it's been in almost the same exact geologic time since the last eruption.

Nah........must be a coincidence.

You and me both.

Of course, in a previous life I was a Boy Scout. After 9/11, I just moved my camping gear into the trunk of my car with my earthquake kit. I'm more scared of my stupid neighbors than I am any terrorist attack.

I believe there was a recent FR thread about the discovery of a dome under Lake Yellowstone. The discovery is so recent that the USGS hasn't yet researched whether the dome is stable or expanding and if so at what rate. I have a funny feeling they'll find the dome is growing.
