You mean that you didn't use the online bookmark function (available in your profile) that FR offers?

I don't think it's possible to go through the threads like that...
Just try the search engine. Yes, it's tiresome, but it's probably the only way.
Ask the Mods, if you want to be certain.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/854313/posts That is the first post on March 1st. Note the serial number, your post was number 974873, that means you only have to go through 120560 posts! (that is 650 posts/day). You may think that is insane, but that includes all of the dupes, banned threads etc..
I have 250 posts today since 1:50PM!
Good luck.

What happened was that I had purchased a Compaq Presario 2570 at the end of July. Unfortunately, it did not seem to work quite as well, until a 1 1/2 weeks ago it would just freeze up when turned on. I took it in to a Best Buy (where I bought it from) to get it looked at, and they determined that the mother board had been fried. Since it was under warranty, they would exchange it for a new one. Problem was, they did not have the same model there, so I would have to take it to another store to get a new one, and have the data from my old hard drive transferred. Since it was closing time at that store, I had to take the computer back with me to my mother-in-law's home (which is in an upper class suburban Mpls neighborhood). Stupid me decided to leave the machine on my front seat (door was locked) overnight, parked right up to the house. Next morning, broken window, no computer.
Since the computer doesn't work, it would be funny, but being an attorney (and a county attorney, as well), I had a lot of info on it that was put onto an office network and is now lost. And, as you know, I've lost all of my FR files from this past March, the last time I backed it up. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

BTW, put a password protect on your BIOS and on your bootup. At least if it gets stolen again, it'll deter them.
To: Wolverine
Thanks - how were you able to pull this up?

Park in front of your MIL's again. In the morning you just might find another broken window and your old computer sittin' there . . .

BTW, put a password protect on your BIOS . At least if it gets stolen again, it'll deter them. I forgot about that. Thanks.
I'll probably be Freepmailing you from the Public Library after I do this. I'm not BIOS friendly......always press the buttons I know I'm not supposed to.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
Then again you can reset the BIOS.
